"in sickness and in health"

In just over a month my Mom and Dad will hopefully celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. Hopefully because Mom is on hospice care in the last months of her life.

One of the mercies of watching Mom (and by Mom, I mean Mom and Dad) go through this incredibly difficult time is that I don't wonder what "for better, or for worse,. . . in sickness and in health" looks like. I've seen it. It's not "pretty," but it spills Beauty everywhere.
